Muffy Stewart, LPCC-S

I have had the opportunity to provide therapy to children and adolescents who experience trauma, loss, depression, self harm, suicide ideation, anxiety, and behavioral problems for the last 12 years. I have been trained and use a variety of evidence based practices and techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. In addition, I have been trained and use to fidelity Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for individuals who have experienced, but not limited to, domestic violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, divorce, and loss.
I believe every individual has hope for change and deserves a sense of safety and healthy relationships, and feeling empowered by having skills to manage their emotions and behaviors. In addition to family and social support, therapy is another source of support and empowerment to help develop skills to manage emotional and behavioral problems and provide hope for change and success in life. Working with youth and young adults is a true passion of mine and I look forward to being a resource and a source of support.
