Desiree Untch, MSW, LSW

Licensed Social Worker, Master’s Level

Desiree is a Master’s level, licensed social worker whose goal is to help her clients identify their strengths in order to reach their personal goals and thrive in all areas of their life. Desiree believes that empowering clients to recognize their unique strengths can be a helpful vehicle to facilitate change, and recognize their own resilience to overcome life’s challenges.

Desiree has experience and is passionate about working with foster and adopted children, along with blended families. She enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults and partners with clients, starting where they are, while exploring internal and external factors related to thinking, feelings and behaviors to help identify ways to improve overall functioning while working to change negative thinking patterns. With younger children, Desiree incorporates play therapy and sensory techniques to create a more comfortable and relaxed therapeutic environment. Desiree has experience working with individuals of all ages who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, and additional issues that may impact an individual’s mood, ability to cope, or impact daily functioning. She works with clients to increase and utilize healthy coping skills to tackle some of these issues.

Regardless if you are seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or both Desiree uses an integrative approach while using various skills to help instill resilience and partner with clients to live a deserving and fulfilling life.
