Tyler Sims, MSW, LSW

Licensed Social Worker, Master’s Level

Tyler is a master’s level Licensed Social Worker who strongly believes that there is hope for every client.

Tyler emphasizes the belief that every client has the potential to thrive if they are given the right resources and support. He understands this firsthand because he has dealt with anxiety from a young age.  He knows how beneficial it is to have people in your corner to empower you to live an abundant and satisfying life.

Tyler specializes in helping clients with anxiety. He enjoys working with both children, teens, and young adults (ages 4-24). He encourages them to consider different ways to combat anxiety. He assists children in finding fun and creative ways to use interventions such as play therapy and art therapy to stimulate thoughts of creative ways to manage and conquer anxiety symptoms.  He supports teens and older adults to learn and utilize healthy and diverse ways to think, manage, and conquer anxiety producing situations, using interventions such as Cognitive Restructuring and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Interventions are tailored to the need of each client.

Tyler helps clients to realize there is always hope that things can improve in every situation, and that they have the strengths within themselves to overcome obstacles that prevent them from living an abundant, productive, and satisfying life.

Tyler is supervised by Gail Weisend LISW-S.
