Before a problem can be addressed, it must be understood. At the first visit (and possibly others) we collect extensive information to most accurately diagnose the problem.
Dr. Reynolds has worked at Harvard promoting “resiliency”, which is a new medical approach to illness. Usually medical practitioners focus on what went “wrong” in the body to cause illness; resiliency looks at how we can cope through building on existing strengths.
Strength of Family
We are bound together through relationships – family, friends, co-workers, and others. At all times we seek to support the functioning of the family – a child does not exist apart from that context. Hence, we usually see a child & parent(s) together, and work on supporting a parent’s authority and the child’s well-being.
Care and Belief in God
We believe that all healers are responsible to humbly help people function well in their lives. This is a spiritual belief; we are all joined to God no matter our backgrounds or lifestyles. We support all beliefs. Our style emphasizes discussion with people. We support the patient making the final decision not the practitioner.
Multiple Approaches to a Problem
We are very comfortable in considering multiple perspectives and treatment styles. We do not believe that medication solves all problems.
